Asian African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AACCI) organized its annual flagship event, 3rdASIAN-AFRICAN LEADERSHIP FORUM 2021 on April 30, 2021 through online media of Facebook & YouTube. Although scheduled to be held in Hotel Grand, New Delhi on 24th April as a gala ceremony amid the diplomats from various countries and who’s who of the society, business & industry, film & television celebrities, media icons, entrepreneurs and professionals from various walks of life, it had to be curtailed to an online presentation due to lockdown imposed in Delhi because of Coronavirus.

The event began with the welcome note by the Founder & Chairman of Asian African Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Dr. GD Singh, who showed concerns over the gloomy situation caused by the lockdown and hoped that soon the darkness would be prevailed by the new sunlight. The event was proceeded by the welcome speech of the Vice-Chairman, Nigeria for AACCI- High Prince Leye Dr. Babalola, The National President of AACCI- HE Mahesh Sachdeva and the President of Mauritius Chapter- Mr. SelloyeeSivenwho all shared their views on upcoming opportunities in Africa and Asia even amid global lockdown.
The event was graced by the noble presence of HE Dina Grace Akelo – High Commissioner of Uganda, HE Dr Roger Gopaul- High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Ambassador Anil Wadhwa – Former Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs of India &Indian Ambassador to Italy, Poland, Oman and Thailand; Mr. Anil Trigunayat, IFS {RETD}, Governing Council Member, Raisina House, Former Indian Ambassador to Libiya, Jordan & Malta. They all shared their views on current scenario of uncertainty and chaos with a hope for revival and a new beginning.
A panel discussion on the Topic of ‘An Era of Change – Women Leaders of 2021’ moderated by Ms. Julie Desai,Lawyer & Human Rights Activist was aired which was participated by HRH Princess SanyogitaAtrey – Chairperson & Managing Director, SG18 Reality, India; Rania Lampou- Global Educator & STEM Instructor; Dr (h.c.) Alongside the forum, a prestigious Leadership Awards 2021 was organized, recognizing and honoring outstanding organizations and business leaders who have shown remarkable performance and tenacity in developing sustainable businesses, whilst not neglecting the social responsibility that comes with a successful business. Event ended in high note with all the awardee organizations and business leaders praising the recognition and felicitation that they received in these uncertain times which, they said, would keep their morals high and encourage them to do even better.
