Janet Adebola Omisore

A Political Scientist, Chartered administrator and Secretary, project initiator and implementer with over twenty years’ successful track record of working in the private and public sectors of Nigeria with over twelve years spent in the services of the NACCIMA, where rose to the position of Deputy Director General before retirement. An ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems) Implementer / consultant. I am a Train the Trainer on the ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS) and have at different period worked to provide business advisory, advocacy, training and trade facilitation services to enhance the socio-economic development of businesses and the country, developed and implemented collaborative project/programs for capacity building of different segments of the society. Over the years’ I facilitated trade capacity building programs, empowerment program for less privileged and indigent, B2B, B2G meetings in various sectors as well as enhanced the promotion of cross border trade within the African region and internationally.

As director in charge of the consultancy outfit, the company has implemented a number of ISO certification and conducted training on membership development service for some chambers of commerce in Nigeria. The company has also made breakthroughs into the waste management sector of the economy. I have also consulted on the establishment of a community chamber of commerce amogst other.

November 2017 – April 30, 2018 Deputy Director General

As a Deputy Director General, I was saddled with the overall administration of the NACCIMA Secretariat, proposing strategic and advocacy policies to the appointed executives. Ability to multi task and adopt to sporadic changes was demonstrated as the Association had a new President who was zealous to make several changes at once and there was no substantive Director General in Office.

I was able to increase membership by 85% while also meeting the target of collecting all outstanding subscription before the deadline of one year that was given. I was eventually awarded with a gift of a car to improve my performance on the job.
