Mrs. Anita Karambalkar

Mrs. Anita Karambalkar is an organizational behavior psychologist, a social entrepreneur, a philanthropist, an educationalist and a soft skill trainer.

She has done her Masters in Industrial and Clinical Psychology with Diplomas in “Cognitive & Rational Emotive Therapy for performance enhancement in individuals and Organisations” organized by the Bombay Psychological Association, Psychological Association UK & Psychological Association Vienna. She has also completed “Appreciation Programme on Counselling” organized by the Industrial Psychological Division, the Government of India, Ministry of Labour, Central Labour Institute Bombay.

Her dedication, passionate and energetic behaviour has won her recognition and appointments in different organization. She was recognised by Maharashtra Government for her exemplary ability to interact and enhance performance of the differently abled children and disaster-stricken adults in the earth quake stricken Latur in Maharashtra.

She was recognised by the NABARD – Government of India for her exemplary work in Agri Business where in she spearheaded the first federation of farmers in Goa linking them directly to the corporate& hospitality industry.  Her innovative projects promoting local produce in the hotel industry through local food festivals and linking the Self-Help Groups business activities to Corporates under Corporate Social Responsibility created many start up rural women projects. Three of the Women Enterprises won the Best Self Help Group Enterprise Award.

She was a part of the capacity building team  of Economic Development Corporation of Goa, Daman & Diu,( EDC Limited) implemented for Start Ups under the  ‘‘Chief Ministers Employment Scheme” and was recognized as the best motivational speaker.

She has given her consultancy services to different corporate like

  1. Cadbury India Ltd. (Thane Factory) “Employee Absenteeism “Work Exhaustion or Burnout”.
  2. Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd.( Goa Factory) “Start up rural women, under Corporate Social Responsibility”.
  3. Hindustan Petroleum Gas Ltd “Designing a Village adoption blue print and its implementation” a “Corporate Social Responsibility Project”.
  4. Alila Diwa Hotel“Start up rural farmers, youth, artisans and women, under Corporate Social Responsibility” .
  5. Vedanta Sesa Goa (Mining Company) “Reduction of Accidents amongst Drivers, especially during Night Shifts and increasing performance.

She was a part of the research team for NABCONS, a Central Government Organisation, on the “Study on Socio-economic Upliftment of Meat Industry Workers in Goa, Karnataka & Maharashtra”.

She has conducted research for Government run Project “Education for All Campaign” on “Behaviour Modification and Attitude Building of the Teaching Staff”.

She is the Co-Founder of An Identity of My Self (AIMS) an entrepreneur’s mentorship organisation for rural women and youth, which has 3 incubation centres providing capacity building in coordination with Government Organisation. This organization has been instrumental in supporting many Startups and women entrepreneurs.

Her years of experience in private sector, corporate sector, varied government and business domains has made her the most sort for soft skill trainer in the National Productive Council – Government of India.

Currently she is serving as the Managing Director for Realty Spaces Kenya Ltd which is a Consultancy Firm. The contribution of her organization in Kenya has been very significant: in span of few years her organization has started the initiative “Build Kenya, Buy Kenya, With India” setting the road map for Indian investors in mega projects in water harvesting, waste management, irrigation and affordable housing working closely with the National and County level Government.

She is the Board Member of the Governing, Advisory and Executive council of Women Chambers of Commerce & Industries (WICCI) which actively engages with women entrepreneurs and professionals and suggest concrete steps and recommendations to relevant government authorities and institutions to empower women-owned businesses to become more competitive.

She is the Secretary of the National Governing Board MSME Start Up Forum Kenya Chapter. Her project planning and implementation expertise both under Corporate Social Responsibility and project proposal for investors has successfully introduced Indian Agri processing machinery in 3 different County’s. The current project that she is working on are the Film Tourism, Incubation Centre, Food Park and Herbal park.

She is the Secretary of Overseas Friends of Bhartiya Janata Association Kenya Chapter which endeavors to strengthen economic, social and cultural relation between India & Kenya.

She is the member of the managing committee of “Global Tech Enabler Forum” (GTEF), an organization which fosters global cooperation for developing and sharing of technology, advocacy and capacity building across national boundaries.

She is the Director Africa-India Trade and Development  for Intercontinental Confederation for Chambers of Commerce & Enterprises. She has been a pioneer in the formation of the Indian Africa 55 Forum which aims at forming a consortium of all businesses belonging to Indian origin African citizens. The organization has already organized 5 multi sector business summits in different African countries; the last one was with South Africa.
